Who is Intuto?
Intuto is an independent New Zealand-based online learning platform, with a long history of providing the highest quality e-learning system supported by excellent customer service. We are based in Auckland, and have our HQ in Birkenhead, just a few kilometres from the CBD.
We are privately owned and, while the majority of our team is based in our Auckland office, we have remote workers that operate from elsewhere in New Zealand, Sydney, Canada, the UK and the USA.
Our story
Intuto is a key player in the online learning delivery industry in New Zealand. The company was founded in 2000, and Intuto went on to develop the first large-scale, blended learning programme in conjunction with a number of polytechnics nationwide. At its height, the programme delivered more than 60,000 courses to more than 300,000 learners.
The success of this programme led to the formation of a relationship in 2008 with Cambridge English, a department of Cambridge University, to develop the first official IELTS test preparation online learning courses. Even now, 13 years later that relationship continues to evolve and the university’s latest e-learning courses are all hosted on Intuto and delivered through more than 200 agents and resellers around the world.
“We’ve been doing this for almost 20 years, and we support more than 150,000 learners every year,” says CEO and founder Richard Warren.
“Many of our clients are based in New Zealand or Australia, though we also have a strong client base internationally, and they appreciate that we’re based locally and have their best interests at heart. We do everything we can – in terms of systems and customer service – to stay ahead of the curve and make sure we deliver maximum value to our customers.”
Online learning in New Zealand today
Since Intuto’s inception, mobile technology and internet speeds have improved immeasurably, and, as they have, the awareness of and interest in e-learning has exploded.
Organisations wanted the capacity for course development, deployment and reporting in a single mobile-ready platform that didn't require specialist skills to operate. They also wanted a simple pricing structure and the flexibility to add as many users and courses as necessary.
With a bit of number 8 wire and Kiwi ingenuity, Intuto developed the tools, materials and processes that allowed high quality courses to be delivered to learners in a range of different industries. No longer only used by education institutions, online education has expanded into all areas of life and Intuto now engages with organisations of all sizes across all industries.
From solo professional trainers wanting to extend their client base through to industry peak bodies rolling out national programmes such as the FGC’s Safe-in-Store Pass, Intuto provides an affordable, simple and easy to use online learning solution that has customer service as its focus at all times.
