Selling courses with Intuto!
Almost as soon as we released Intuto we had customers asking us how they could sell their courses to individuals and businesses. Today, Intuto has...
The Intuto Learning Management System (LMS) has been running for around 6 years now and we have always strived to keep the user experience simple and powerful. As our user numbers grew, we implemented more ways to manage enrolments including bulk upload, self registration links, campaigns, and collections.
It can be surprising when you release new features just how they end up being used. Slightly to our surprise, it turned out the most popular way to enrol users is using registration links.
By far the most asked question around self registration links is “Can we limit the link so it can be tracked and used only once?” After digging into this a bit deeper with customers, they specifically wanted to:
Based on these use cases we have developed a new feature called Tokens.
The Tokens feature inside Intuto allows administrators to create batches of access tokens that can be shared with, and consumed by, users to gain access to a collection.
Tokens can either be a batch of single use tokens or a single token that can be used a set number of times (or an unlimited number of times).
A single token is one URL that can be used multiple times. When creating a single token you can select how many times it can be used, when the token expires, and which collection it gives access to.
Once a single token has been created you can send it to everybody that needs to use it. When the usage limit or expiry date has been reached, the token will no longer work.
A multi token is a list of unique URLs that can only be used once each. When creating a multi token you select how many unique URLs to create, when they all expire and which collection they link to.
Once a multi token has been created you can assign each URL to a specific user by entering their email address, or you can send the URL to a user to register themselves.
These tokens can be reported on, so an administrator can see which ones have been used, how many times and by whom.
Tokens can also be downloaded into a spreadsheet. So if you are selling courses to a company, you can simply create a batch of multi tokens for the ordered amount, export the tokens and send them to the purchasing company.
Each token in the spreadsheet comes with a unique URL that is used to register a user into a collection.
One of the great things about tokens is their flexibility, especially around how you share them. You can assign them from within Intuto, email the URL to an individual or connect them to a shopping cart such as Shopify, WooCommerce or even just a simple Paypal link.
This process opens the door to automating access when selling multiple courses, allowing you to focus on your business and not on fulfilling orders.
Our next blog will go into detail on the many different ways courses can be sold through Intuto, but if you would like to learn more, please reach out here, we love talking about this stuff.
