Making the Most of Existing Webinars at VMTA

August 2024

Background:

The Victorian Music Teachers’ Association (VMTA) is a not-for-profit professional association and peak body representing the interests of instrumental music teachers in Victoria and the broader community. For almost 100 years, the VMTA has provided a range of services to music teachers and their students including professional learning events, performance opportunities, information, advocacy and advice.

The Situation:

VMTA had over 30 Webinars recorded that they wanted to make available to their members and wider learners, so a decision was made to create an online learning hub.
This learning hub needed to be able to track completion data, allocate CPD points , and be extremely user-friendly.
Since VMTA already used Membes as their association management software (AMS), they looked for a product that had an existing integration to ensure efficiency between systems.

The Solution:

As Intuto integrates directly with Membes for purchasing courses and CPD tracking, VMTA opted for an Intuto subscription to meet their online learning needs.
With over 30 Webinars to load into online courses, VMTA also decided to utilise Intuto’s Content Loading Team to ensure the material was loaded quickly and professionally. A template was created as part of the build, enabling VMTA to easily load their future webinars onto the platform as courses.
See the video below for more detail of how the Content Loading Team completed the course build.

A Year On:

VMTA’s course offering has grown to over 50 Webinars, providing their members with an extensive selection of training options. Thanks to the simple and direct integration between Intuto and Membes, VMTA have also been able to provide courses to different tiers of members - some free to the public, some purchased directly by members, and others provided as part of a subscription plan, all without extensive admin resources needed. Additionally, the ability to group similarly themed content into collections has enabled the VMTA to create targeted series of PD material to support instrumental music teachers with their practice.

Intuto has helped us transform three years of webinars into a professional learning hub - the possibilities for expansion here are limitless!
